Unlock Healium's Aura using Neurofeedback
Pairing a Muse headband with a Meta Quest VR headset unlocks a new world of immersive experiences that seamlessly blend mindfulness and virtual reality.
Here's how to get started:
Step 1
Download the Muse app from the app store and register your account.
Step 2
Open the settings menu on your phone.
- Select Display & Brightness.
- Scroll down to Auto-Lock.
- Set the Auto-Lock to "Never."
Step 3
Connect your iPhone and Meta Quest headset to the SAME wifi network.
Step 4
Inside your Meta Quest headset, navigate to the quick settings menu.
- Click on wifi.
- Select the wifi network to which the headset and phone are connected.
- Scroll down to find the IP address and write this number down. (You will enter this number into the Muse app later.)
Step 5
Turn on the Muse headband and place it on your forehead.
Step 6
Open the Muse app on your iPhone.
- Ensure your headband is connected via Bluetooth.
- The Muse app should show the headband signal in the top-left corner. This indicates that the app is paired and receiving data.
- Within the Muse app, go to settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and click on OSC Output.
- Toggle off streaming enabled.
- Enter the IP address from your headset into the Muse app settings.
- Make sure the port number is set to 5000.
- Toggle on "Streaming Enabled."
Step 7
Put on your Meta Quest headset.
- Log into the Healium app.
- Click on the paired devices icon.
- Click connect for the Muse Headband.
- Once a green checkmark appears, the Muse is connected, and the setup is complete!
Step 8
Select your favorite Healium experience and watch your aura turn from gold to green.
